Year 10 students are supported by a strong welfare team and dedicated subject teachers.
Everyone studies English, Maths, Science, PD/H/PE, History, and Geography. Many are in the second year of elective subjects selected in Year 9 and are developing an in-depth understanding of these subject areas. As everyone works towards attaining their RoSA, Year 10 students are thinking about and planning for their subject selections for Year 11 Preliminary and Year 12 HSC.
Students receive an information book that describes all of the subjects on offer at Maitland High School. There is further information given to parents and students at an information evening at the school. This is followed by an individual 30 minute interview with each student to discuss future directions, subject choices and career directions.
